Blue Head Sculpture by CanicularDays Blue Head Sculpture by CanicularDays
Thought I'd post some of the sculptures I've made on an after-school Art School where we mostly work with ceramics, something I absolutely adore. I will probably post some more ceramics sometime.

I didn't get enough time (or rather, I wasted it on other things) to work more on the facial features and ears so they look rather unfinished. So the only reason I'm posting it is because I kind of like the black and blue patterns and the general shininess of it. First I dipped the whole thing in some blue glaze and then I had fun with splashing black glaze over it with a paintbrush. I love experimenting with glaze!

Also, my mom likes to put different hats and scarfs on it, which makes it look almost more horrible. =P

The simplicity is really very inspiring, as is the pure *brightness* of the glazing. I've been afraid to try sculpting for a while now, but I think now I'll give it a go. Seeing how beautiful something very simple can be. Well, simple as in lacking meticulous details. I like this, I really do.

That's cool! It sort of reminds me of the Na'vi from Avatar.

Heh, thanks. The funny thing is I made it before the whole Avatar-craze. xD
